He didn't really. I thought it was a clever use of language where he said the story wasn't coming from Everton but I don't think he categorically said we were not interested.

Signing Richardson would be taking 10 steps back in my opinion. We need to build a squad for the future. Signing Richarlison would regress the whole project. He’s injury prone and quite frankly not that good. Of course he’s better than our current options but Everton can do a lot better than him in my opinion.

Signing players like this or Soucek and giving new contracts to DCL Doucoure and permanently signing players like Jack Harrison or Broja will keep us exactly where we are right now and have been for the past 5 years.
Honestly i would hate to see anyone of the above near the squad never mind first team next season.

You can't lump Soucek in with Ings, Cresswell, etc. He is 30, but has great stamina, is great in both boxes and is a useful defensive midfielder. His passing is poor though.

- Spending big on Soucek
How many of those do we think will happen? I’ll guess at 3.

I think we'll re-sign DCL, bring Harrison back, pass on Alcaraz and possibly bring Lindstrom back. I think we'll probably try and sign Soucek but it sounds like he doesn't want to move. I've gone from being optimistic about this summer to being rather trepidatious. I'm not convinced it's going to be as transformative as many of us hoped.

I think only realistic one now is DCL new deal…but won’t be wages he wanted.
I’d have said Doucoure a year deal until burnt his bridges.
The rest i think leave or not brought back.
We have more room to spend, new owners that gives me optimism.
If they get Harrison, young, Broja etc i give up!!
