Hopefully not, because there is no way City will cover 75% of his salary and I don't think it'll go down well in our squad if we are paying him £150,000 grand a week when our proven top players are on nowhere near that.

Two top Quality full backs would easily move us about 5+ places higher up the table IMO - for me they’re the positions we can make the largest gains in the squad for not eye watering sums of money.

Didn’t we have a ridiculously small squad at the start of one of our seasons under Moyes.

Think we lost to Blackburn at home with Baines playing left wing, Jose Baxter our single sub used and the rest of bench unknowns form u21’’s.

Got a massive job on his hands. Needs to use the loan market to the fullest, few freebies to bump up the squad in certain areas and spend any money we have on first team starters.

Everton: Howard, Neville, Yobo, Lescott, Nuno Valente (Baxter 78), Arteta, Rodwell, Jagielka, Baines, Osman, Yakubu.
Subs Not Used: Turner, Jutkiewicz, Gosling, Agard, Kissock, Wallace.

Appreciate hands are maybe tied, and it's not how Everton do it, but wouldn't it be nice for once to have some new signings in ready for pre-season training.

Yes, we still have like 4 weeks left (well 3 weeks of window being open after it closes for this week... again why), but with the Everton stagers of buying someone this really does not give us much time.

Brighton have loads of CMs and are bringing in another so I definitely could see them moving him on. Lad has quality we sorely lack so could see us being interested and would be happy if we are.
