There’s a lot to like. Really young team and played great footy this season. I’m happy for us to linked with young up and coming prospects rather than 30+ players wanting massive wages.we after half the sunderland side?
@orlyLook Rich mate, I appreciate I'm on an Everton forum talking to Everton fans, so I don't want to overreach my welcome here. And I say this with the upmost of respect, as someone who really likes your club (and someone who values proper football discussion). But I ask you have some respect for my club here.
I get exactly where you're coming from, you're a a Premier League stalwart with a glorious history and a new stadium. But this is a lad who has risen through the leagues with us from League One, who by all accounts is still in Ibiza celebrating with ten of his teammates in a team that is apparently more together then anyone has seen in recent Sunderland memory, a lad who was scouted and given his chance at Sunderland from the League of Northern Ireland, a lad who will probably play in a stadium that will have near enough a 46k average next season & a club with a fairly impressive history itself (not your levels of course).
Most importantly though we're a club with 100m+ in the bank, a billionaire owner ourselves, and apparently we have more headroom for spending then yourself or many others according to Kieran Maguire the football finance expert - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwynpzwk38po
Yes we're heading back down, but I'd wager he'd quite fancy staying at a club he's settled at, with a manager/ team he likes, and if we fail he'll be off then - like most others who are promoted. If I'm wrong I will hold my hands up of course. It's not like when Luton or Huddersfield were unexpectedly promoted in my eyes.
Maybe is the same at most clubs now, will be a price you would sell him for and like most players at his age could see him and his agent happy for the move if certain things given. Oh aye 100%, everyone has a price! But he's on a two year deal with a club opinion for another year. And you and Wolves are now a PL rival. As far as we're aware he isn't forcing a move either. So, you tell me (honestly, been away from the PL for too long now!) how much a highly rated starting PL right back with international experience and aged only 23 would be valued at to make us sell when we don't want to? And would you be willing to pay it?Maybe is the same at most clubs now, will be a price you would sell him for and like most players at his age could see him and his agent happy for the move if certain things given. What did you buy him for say was a bid 15/20 and you bought him for alot less would give you massive profit to go out and bring more players in. I kno you said you have money but will still be restricted in what you can spend.Oh aye 100%, everyone has a price! But he's on a two year deal with a club opinion for another year. I dont kno if we even want him is an easy rumour because everton look to be in the market for rb. It all depends on moyes how important he feels it is to bring in a rb. I would have no problem if we got kwp on a free insteadOh aye 100%, everyone has a price! But he's on a two year deal with a club opinion for another year. And you and Wolves are now a PL rival. Giant bellends more likeHow have Spurs managed to diddle the media into thinking they’re a Premier League "giant"? That implies they've succeeded in the league and they haven't![]()
They’re one of the biggest clubs in the world. They’re obviously having a bit of a nightmare but the pull that clubs like that have doesn’t just disappear overnight, it’s mad how loads of people really convinced themselves it would. Why on earth are players choosing to go to United.
No idea if he is any good, but we could do with signing a right-back.

I believe they can sign them to long contracts but only amortise the expense over a maximum period of 5 years.I see Chelsea have signed a player on a 8 year deal. I thought teams were no longer allowed to sign players on that long a contract any more. I thought it was 5 years max.
