Surely that makes it an ideal day to find out how many better offers Keane and DCL didn’t get?Doubt we'll hear much today , it's a Bank Holiday and the media are obsessed with their red darlings.

He left us without a striker to start a season with and didn't resolve the right hand side issues in the team over three years.
We still need starting RB, RW & ST to this day , never mind a back up for two of these positions.
The decision was correct.
I thought he was out of contract next year too but his contract ends in 2027.feel like the Doak figure is off the mark
out of contract next year and never played in the top flight. but he is one that’s been earmarked as a top player for a while
i reckon around 15mil plus some add ons might do the trick
he’ll want to leave and in the end they’ll need something to offset the big spends they’ll have this summer on the likes of Wirtz
The same Sterling who’s career has flatlined ever since? He's still got years in the tank,he's just fell foul of not being Pep's flavour of the month,it happened with Sterling.
For us to even consider him the price, contract and if he's still got the hunger all have to be right.

It’s the RS tax everyone happily pays, you know.. their equivalent of the Everton Discount we give other teams when they buy our players on the cheap.I’m not convinced he’s out of contract next year. I had a look for his contract details online and some sites were suggesting he agreed a new contract to come into place on whatever birthday it was that allowed him to sign for more than 3 years. Some sites have 2026 and others 2027 for his contact end date.
Got to agree though. £25-30m does seem on the steep side
The suggestion was that given his age in 2023 the max contract he could sign was for 3 years.Where did you see this?
All I've found online is that he signed a "long term deal" in 2023
Yeah. Not £30M though. They all do. His stats until injury looked impressive. He has potential. For the right price it could work out .
The type of signing we need to be making.
I believe he has 12 months on his contract, so that fee is probably excessive, but I would sooner have me nan over Harrison so let's see what happens£30m to Liverpool because this guy is faster than Harrison?
