Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Remove the failure to sign a new right back and I am relatively pleased with the window.

When you consider the failure to sign a RB, you have to view the entire transfer window as a failure.

The points we will drop by not having a first team quality RB in the squad between now and January is genuinely the difference between us challenging for European qualification, and finishing the season 10-12th.

With a cm i am happy with the window. A defender that could cover right or left would have been ideal, but best wait for the best player possible
I agree with your point on not purchasing a defender for the sake of it and waiting for the right player to become available. My view throughout this window is that any right-back signing would have to be a better player than Nathan Patterson, otherwise there would not really be any reason to sign them besides for squad depth.

You made a comparison to women politely turning you down and then having sex with someone else like they owe you their bodies but are too greedy to submit to someone unless they drive the right kind of car. Come to terms with your misogyny, overcome it, and become a better person.
😂😂Wow. That was unexpected.

So any right back then 😂

All in all, a very good window, IMO. Much stronger squad now than we had for the end of last season.

Having another RB would have been great but I suspect our failure to shift Patto is the reason we haven’t gotten one. The fact is, we have 4 players in the squad who can play RB. 2 of them struggle with fitness granted and none would be considered as dynamic necessarily, but we do have cover at that position. No point bringing in a 5th unless they would be a guaranteed starter and wasting wages, not to mention loan fees, on a benchwarmer if you ask me.
