Thinking more on the RB situation, my only thinking is that one coming in hinged on us being able to move Patterson on. Once that collapsed it essentially stopped us going in for one this window again. Tete was an opportunistic move and since it was a free we were happy to do that deal and try to then get Patterson out but didn't want to risk paying for one without him gone.

That's my hope anyway and that it's something we look at again in Jan.

The likelihood is we're comfortable with our RB situation, rightly or wrongly, but would've picked up one on a free if we liked them. Fulham improved their offer, the player stayed, and it went back down the list of our priorities.

I don't necessarily agree but I can understand it.
