His rolodex of quality French youth through the new youth setup was really quite something.Arsenal never did either until Wenger came in to be fair..they were renowned for being boring in fact.
Wenger was a genius of his time.

Oh I know that, George Graham and his 1-0 wins
interesting that out of the 5 named you only pick out arteta. Out of the past 25 years have you rated anyone else?Fair enough, that's not my idea of a good watch but neither was Martinez so I agree there, I mean I will give you Arteta he was class and probably my favourite player of that time but the likes of Cahill and Pienaar and a few others were nowhere close to being as good as our fans made out at the time. I'm well aware of what its like on this website in regards too Moyes, he could burn the new stadium down and people would make excuses for him, that's just how it is and my view is the minority.
fair dos, i just find it weird when people jump on certain posters.Have to disagree with pretty much everything you say there bar the metric tonne part.
Didn’t help himself either with his comments in/post the notts forest game last season.
Nothing against him per se, or you for that matter, just objectively he does all that stuff.
Not to knock his views in transfer related stuff, he’s entitled to them and makes for some interesting reading
Think depends what everton team you have been lucky or unlucky to have seen, think will be a time here when moyes will be asked to show more from the fanbase. Even this season i kno for me i have expectations from him, then especially next season will be even higher:Fair enough, that's not my idea of a good watch but neither was Martinez so I agree there, I mean I will give you Arteta he was class and probably my favourite player of that time but the likes of Cahill and Pienaar and a few others were nowhere close to being as good as our fans made out at the time. As Belinda Carlisle said, ‘we dream the same dream, we want the same thing’!Oh I agree but we are supposed to be under a new era where its all change (even got a plush new stadium to go with it) and we still have the same issues with recruitment and not filling key spots and bringing in players who don't appear ready to go and we have gone back to an old manager from years ago. Nothing ever changes with us, I guess we just need to see how it plays out but I'm not getting too excited atm.
If only lads could do the same to their bedsheets it would be a lot calmer in hereMe and you, mate, keeping our powder dry
Oh yeah there is other players I have liked, he isn't the only one lol but we have wasted an awful lot of money over the years.interesting that out of the 5 named you only pick out arteta. Out of the past 25 years have you rated anyone else?
for sure lol. was just surprised to see some one say pienaar, cahil, and possibly even baines were over rated?Oh yeah there is other players I have liked, he isn't the only one lol but we have wasted an awful lot of money over the years.
This !. Hits the nail on the head for me matePersonally I’d love to watch the kind of football we used to play with Pienaar, Baines, Ossie, Arteta, Yak but that’s just me. I didn’t enjoy watching Martinez team but others did.
Everyone has a view but I’m in the Moyes camp.
His record of getting EFC/WHU regularly into Europe and his manager of the month awards show that he’s been a success, esp in a world where 2-4 teams have always dominated at any given time
FFS I was 39 years in my last job and never got hurt onceIt can get a bit hairy at times but it's not as bad as the news and papers make out. I've been there for 19 years and have only been really hurt 3 times and even then, it was during a restraint, not a direct attack...
I got pioried on here for suggesting him mate , if I remember correctlyThe other player linked (Maitland-Niles) got an assist also.
We have one of the best center back partnerships in the prem, it’s unlucky that he has to play behind them. Harsh though to say he’s been ‘a fair way off’ when you yourself say the sample size is small, he did absolutely fine there rhe back end of last season. His entire career is at centre back.Has he had a game at CB as good as his best games at RB? Very small sample, but it’s not like he is inexperienced there given what he was doing before we bought him. Has looked a fair way off Tarks and JB as a PL CB. And to be clear, I think he has been a fantastic acquisition. But I’m not in a massive rush to move him to CB.
I have mentioned Fredrup on here before. He is a really good player who seems to win every challenge@Nymzee caught a fair bit of the Genoa game today as was bored - that Frendrup is an absolutely fantastic player. Would walk straight into our team as the best central mid.
Roma apparently spoke to Genoa about him last week - when inter were after Kone, that would be a good use of the multi club model - get the heads up on the situation and player wants etc.
