Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure. The division of responsibilities is a little bit confusing to me. Hammond was/is supposed to specialise in recruitment in terms of negotiations etc.

The bit I liked about Thelwell's role and, supposedly, something he did quite well was implementing the wider strategy across the club. Eg. Making sure youth teams are being coached in a consistent way in terms of tactical stuff and an identity in our play. I've no idea who is going to be responsible for that sort of thing going forward, but a "Sporting Director" type would seem sensible
This is a pure guess but I just wonder if we would go after Peter Lawwell of Celtic.

Both Hammond and Kinnear have worked with him.

Lawwell once tried to hire Moyes.

In 2023, Lawwell was appointed Vice Chairman of the European Club Association (ECA), a position he holds alongside Dan Friedkin, owner of AS Roma and now Everton.

Even if they are not trying to hire him, I would say he is influencing them.

Someone please tell Contract Dave that the transfer window is shutting at 19.00 on September 1st and not at 23.00
We could miss out on 2 desperate late signings
