Rico I get ONLY INSTEAD OF of Harrison AND PATTERSON. Then we've someone decent on the right who can take the ball forward and who can work back.

My only concerns are with Rico

  • Is he still in the Brazil team often... lots of flights / risk of injury etc
  • Cost
  • It doesn't often work when a play returns to a club (but did for Pienaar, Rooney was kinda past it though)
But Rico, Iliman, Dwight and Charly supporting a Beto / a.n.other is a STEP UP from where we started this year with long balls into DCL.

Aha, yeah, didn't consider the 250k a week. Horrible. JoB, Tarks and JB it is then. Must be someone in the offing in the U23's we can develop behind those lads (if JB stays)
 
Only way Stones would work (if he was fit and we could afford him ) would be as a Gana Gueye replacement protecting the back four and distributing going forward.
Would work really well.
He’s never uninjured enough, we can’t afford him, and would he want to return?

Stones wouldn't cover the ground and get around the pitch like Gana.
He was OK playing that role on occasion for a city side who dominated possession .

Needs more at least one more free and a full whack of loans.
Can’t see us going for Lamptey seriously, too small and injuries have stolen his only assets.

We signed a young lad from burton didn’t we? God knows how he is getting on.

We definitely need another CB, but for me, with 3 bedded in CBs at the club (who are all considered senior players now), there is room for a cheap punt from abroad rather than shelling out big money.
