He is rubbish, I don’t rate him at all, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest that Barry is an upgrade at this moment in time. If you can point me to some actual evidence other than your own hopes and vibes I’d be grateful.

Have to disagree with that.

Most of us were giving Moyes plaudits for getting so many points from virtually the same squad Dyche had made look relegation contenders. In no way did I think the squad was good - it needed huge work and still does. The fact the season has now started and we are putting out a much worse starting 11, is hardly believable.

I mean, the performances - there’s no way you lot were praising 80% of our players last year

Dont think that last night was just down to injuries it certainly didn't help but it was a lot more than that like no game plan especially first half

Poor gameplan. Our transition from defense to attack was relying on a right footed LB, a CB at RB, and two CMs allergic to the ball. Any any long ball put forward came right back because of our striker.

Oh well, at least there's a full week of training Garner to be a left back, Alcaraz a right winger and Iroegbunam a Premier League player.

Well he only played about 40 mins in our last 15 games so having a forward available even as a sub is an improvement

Absolutely I praised players for some of their performances in the second half of the season. But that still doesn't mean I think we have a good squad and a good enough starting 11.

I think the squad is massively unbalanced and just not very good as it currently stands. And I have no faith whatsoever in this recruitment team to get the right signings. So that's where I am at - we are wasting a huge chance to overhaul the squad.

No, but it depends how much we're willing to give away.

At this point, we probably need to overpay for sine or hold our nerve for a few million less and risk missing out.

I’d say 16th is about right with the squad as it stands now. It’s clearly lacking.

Again, it is the basics of the side from last season that was being praised by all. We lost players we did not want and added grealish, dews and Barry. Not sorting the right is terrible but, the rest of the squad is better than last year in general and will be improved further

Last night was a mare but is not going to be the pattern for the whole season

Yes, we are but, it’s still the majority of the squad that did very well last season under the same manager, with a few quality additions and, no doubt, a few more to come
