United or Chelsea players will come here reluctantly and only as part of a sweetener to get Branthwaite, I suspect.
It'd be nice if we reached into the lower divisions to bring through a striker of note. I have no idea who that might be.
That's possible but I do think in both cases the team's could be wise to loan out their cut out strikers to keep value. Less a case with Jackson, if chelsea change their front man I think he's done enough to garner suitors for around what Chelsea paid for him. Hojlund on the other hand is lost in the woods at united. Amorim has not so subtly made clear he is out. How united handle that fact is interesting.
They clearly overpaid, would likely recognize they won't fetch nowhere near that back on the market. Clearly his prospect perception has taken a massive hit but the calamity that is United and the starkness of him being dropped is an interesting leverage position for anyone who could be interested.
Should you be interested if your another club is a worthy question. I wont say I've watched a lot of him this year but I do know a few things. A build up side is an awful structure for him. I think united have some of the worst cross suppliers in the division and frankly lazy mercurial talents who don't really know how to simplify goal scoring opportunities or reward channel running.
If Hojlund is going to work its in a system where he can run behind the defence from deep positions and be rewarded. I think he's a bit more grunt in approach, seeking back post finishes and supply from channel running. Im not sure he's physical enough, I think his head isn't great, he might just not be good enough broadly but I think its worth a discussion considering his prior pedigree and the basket case that is Manchester United.
I also think coaching is underrated when talking about him too. I think someone like
Moyes could do wonders for him who praises grunt and grind players.
