Sorry but that is our fault. You need to be attempting to sign achievable players
100%This is true. Some might say we aimed high with Grealish, and we got him, basically on the basis that he's going to play every game (even with our current best attacking player being a LW). I'm sure there's a few other big teams (like Citeh) who have right sided attacking players with an eye on the world cup. A half decent RW wing who wants to impress and get into their national side have a free run to impress at Everton.
I thought Leicester had financial problems and they'd almost be forced to consider serious bids.I mean, if we want someone ready to go day 1 of those 3 options/prices, I think Fatawu would be my first choice.
But they likely won't sell.
Yeh, talking about RW tbh. Lord knows what the RB plan is.How many years not just this season have we been asking for a r/b its not just a recent request and im not laying the blame on the new owners/manager its been a long time overdue for the club
Really? I am happy we will get a decent one than 'any old one' which you appear to be happy to accept. All depends. I would much rather go the whole season with A right winger, than none at all.
Beto is no world beater, but last season his finishing when he was running onto through balls was pretty decent. Not seen enough of Barry yet either, but I'd suggest any striker we get in now will be 3rd choice behind those 2.COME ON, get a bloody winger, right back, and a CM. Also a striker who can actually finish a Gman set up.
No, we tried early, very early it seems. There is lots of things to moan about Everton but trying to sign top quality players should not be one.Are we still doing this yeah? We must wait until late in the window to secure our top targets. We’re down to like our 7th choice right now aren’t we? How many transfer windows have to go by before people realise this magical scenario of securing all your top targets at the end of August that they’ve invented in their head isn’t something that happens?
And, one of them WILL come. We will have a season of a decent RW cos we didnt panicTotally agree.. for once we've been aiming high with our signings. It's taken time for them to fall through or turn us down, so then we look at the next tier.. I'd rather it takes time than us just jumping straight back in at Jack Harrison level..
I disagree entirely - we will signa quality RW and not a harrison type as so many of you seem willing to have accepted just to have him in place.Worth it if it comes off. But doesn’t look like the case. Much more likely we are signing a Gray than a Kubo after wasting so much time
What does that even mean?Sorry but that is our fault. You need to be attempting to sign achievable players

We could have just gone all in on jack harrison then who would come just to appease those who have no hunger to step up

What gets me is what’s happened to Moyes much vaunted ability to pluck unknowns out of the lower leagues / abroad for peanuts etc?Average ones, yes - Demarai Gray would be champing at the bit to come here. However, we aimed high, CL quality high in some cases and it hasnt pulled off. Would you rather Gray type RW or a Kubo type??
