Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Our fearless manager has pretty much downed tools in his quest for Delap.

Talk about playing your own club down:

“He would be one who we would certainly have an interest in,” Moyes, the Everton manager, said. “I think what he probably has to look at will probably be bigger than what we are.

“So, we would certainly be interested if he was interested in us. That’s for sure.”

Also pulled this snippet from the DCL comments by Moyes...

“I'll be the one who makes the final decision but Dom is the one who has to show us he can be robust and fit to play. Undoubtedly he has qualities other strikers don't have and he has to show us when he gets those opportunities he has to take them.

--I'll be the one who makes the final decision. Could this be on contracts and recruitment?

Oh dear.
He clearly hasn’t downed tools, he’s not going to openly talk about wanting him in the press conference if there isn’t a serious effort going on to get him. Managers will almost always bat off questions about specific players unless there’s something in it.

That’s not to say I expect to get him but if it was a straight up no from his camp he wouldn’t be talking in those terms at all.

I hate this kinda stuff. No manager at Everton should talk about us as tho we’re smalltime. The same response can easily be uttered putting us in a better light by saying ‘he should be interested in joining us, like all players, as we have a bright future with a new stadium and new owners’. I dont understand why thats so difficult for managers to understand.

It's brainless. Especially as the Everton he's at now is completely different to the previous one.

Is realistic in the situation the club is in at this point, moyes has talked up the club several tines. Prob got his words but wrong but will be teams in a better position at this moment. Does not mean moyes like dyche is happy us staying ij this position

Knife to a gunfight all over again

Made a point of watching Fellows over the past couple of months and he's got couple of strings to his bow...I get the pace shout but I just wanted analyse his game that aside.

He doesn't mind hugging the touch line and playing as an out and out winger but he can double up as an inside forward. He's playing slightly inside today and supporting the forward and he'd get joy from it

He works well in a press as well something Moyes wants.
