Looking like we might have to encourage Mr Dibling to slap in a transfer request to have Southampton blink first and match our valuation of him.

£45m is stupid money and we can easily use that money to improve our starting 11, for example a £25m winger and £20m right back (I don't need to provide examples—not my job, but there are hundreds of players out there) from abroad would instantly improve us.

Dibling is not guaranteed to become a superstar, but £45m is superstar money.

Get him to put in a request, then offer them £40m take it immediately or leave it.

Unless we are in a position to spend another £50m in the market on top of this deal, we need to be walking away and getting on with alternative deals asap.

The climb down from this is obviously 40+5 with a 10% sell-on, which is still steep but probably not intractable.

NOPE - Good player but we have to keep to a structure and build a squad up not comprise it.

Go get Fellows or Doak, a right back and defensive midfield.

We did this years ago, spent too big on too little which left us without money to buy players in key positions.

Look at the situations with Coleman, Gueye, Lukaku, Stones etc etc.

Yeah has shocked me at 25% is crazy high would have thought 10% at the most. I still think will be some more in this deal maybe is his club trying to get more teams to the table. But lets see what happens
