Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Chelsea did well when selling their unwanted players.

Everton have agreed to sign Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in a deal worth around £28m.

The fee for the 26-year-old is an initial £24m with a further £3-4m due in add-ons, and he will now finalise personal terms and undergo a medical despite late interest from Fulham.

I think he’s more of an immediate term signing to bolster the midfield and start alongside Gana because it’s clear Garner isn’t good enough to start (yet). Then in the longer term I see him really becoming a squad option when we can attract higher caliber players (and invariably spend more to attract them). Sure he isn’t the most exciting signing nor who I was hoping for but he’ll do the job this season at least because we really can’t have Garner or Tim starting
Which is worrying he’s 24.

Must be absolutely knackering complaining & moaning about everything Everton do. Proper piss the bed stuff.

We’ve been in relegation battles for years, finished 13th last year, have no European footballer to offer & need several players to come into a tiny squad yet there’s people saying “throw money at Fofana” etc hilarious.

We’re not a bad side & these two improve us. KDH is a far better footballer than Doucoure, which is where he’ll probably play & Dibling will offer us far more than Jack Harrison did. Dibling also has abit more about him than Alcaraz.

We’re in a position where we need to take gambles on players & it’s good seeing the club targeting the correct positions with good profiles & age groups. Makes a change.

I genuinely think that players who have gone to Chelsea in the last 2 years shouldn't be judged off their Chelsea performance and should be viewed based on any Chelsea hoarded them in the first place.

If we were signing KDH directly from Leicester after the season in the championship he had, people wouldn't turn their noses up nearly half as much.

Which is worrying he’s 24.
Well I think it’s fair to say that players develop at their own pace and it’s right to get worried if he’s in his mid twenties and not developed as much as we hoped for but to be fair to the lad Dyche did have him playing RB for a stint which can’t have done wonders for him. I hope he can kick on this season but I don’t think he’s gonna be some trailblazer, best we can hope for with him is a dependable starter with not much flair so it was inevitable we’d need someone better sooner rather than later.
