Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Well yeah, it’s a business. And they own it. We shouldn’t be so naive to not think that every owner has that in mind. But to make more money, they need to be successful. It’s goes hand in hand.

Winning is a huge cultural thing in the US. I have no reason to doubt their want to win. As so far, they have stumped up cash to buy us and have made significant changes in how we are run.

Prices were being jacked with the new stadium regardless. We have been appalling at making money. I don’t want people priced out but our merchandising and profitability has been horrendous for decades and we have paid the price for that on the pitch.
Not really. It’s variable. Look at how the Glazers handled Tampa Bay or the nonsense going on now at the Dallas Mavericks.

Oh yes because Donald had to work for his position in life, you he had to take exams to inherit his money. Reckon you just pipe down and get back to the actual topic at hand.
Sorry mate, didn’t mean to upset you. I’ll pipe down now before I get surveyed to within an inch of my life.

Dozy little scruff.

Anyway. Dwayne Dibley and KDH in this week.

Finally somebody talking sense amongst all this waffle
Just my boring retired CFO take. Of course TFG are American capitalists and want to grow their investments but as I keep pointing out their investments in other areas (hotels/resorts, digital, entertainment etc.) have all being long-term growth plays. Now nothing in life is guaranteed and maybe the ā€˜Everton that’ curse will see it all go horribly wrong but there is absolutely nothing in what they have done so far to suggest a worst case scenario.

Back on transfers we really need to address a minimum of 2 out of 3 of RB, CM and RW in the next week. If the RW is Dibling that will most likely be of limited benefit to us next season but hopefully a significant boost longer-term.
