Yes. The club would have to be very sure that these players want to come here if this is the strategy.
I don’t see how they can be very sure of that. I think this is a terrible strategy that will end very badly personally.

He was about to sign on loan with an option to buy if we were promoted (as part of the Watson deal), but we couldn’t get it over the line in Jan. But the player was happy with the deal etc. it was wages with Brighton that held it up,So he’d agreed to join a championship club. Sorry but no way that was happening, his agent was offering him around
We don't even know this is the strategy for sure, just that they're two names who are being continually linked that we know would only be loans and that being the case, would only be late in the window.I don’t see how they can be very sure of that. That might be a different kind of website...Maybe that information is for his only fans page?
Personally, I get the idea that we might see on or two early next week. In the press conference, Moyes said “we will have to wait til we get back now for signings” with a bit of a look on his face as if to say that he knows something is happening.
Plus, he didn’t seem as concerned this time as he did a few days ago so maybe Kinnear has come home and wrapped up a couple that we can announce next week.
shows how mental this thread is when the most positive poster and the one telling others to chill is actually called mrgrumpy.
Fully expecting this coming 7 days to be when we bring in 3 or 4 players. Fingers crossed anyway.

An option to buy means nothing really , im sure the Sunderland deal was on table, but his agent wouldn’t be doing his job if he wasn’t trying to get him a better club , no disrespect and more moneyHe was about to sign on loan with an option to buy if we were promoted (as part of the Watson deal), but we couldn’t get it over the line in Jan. the clubs were still in contact and it was agreed basically as soon as we were promoted. Or at least that’s how I understand it - maybe you know differently of course.
What a time to be alive.Yes but you now have a Josh Brownhill thread.
2 weeks before the season starts...better than never I guess.According to Mr Bobble Hats podcast pal Benj - we’ve got bids out for multiple players…..
Moyes' presser today was a bit more encouraging. Seems confident that there's still quite a bit that'll get done before the window closes.
How do you know this ?People have said this quite literally for the last 3 weeks running. We aren’t signing anyone next week.
