Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Scored more goals last season than any midfielder we have has in their whole career.
Remind me which division was that in ?
Last time in the PL he scored 4
Which was better than the time before .
Don’t get me wrong , if he had been knocking in 18 goals every season I would recognise your argument.
But career wise last season was an anomaly , and at 29 it’s statistically highly unlikely to be repeated , especially in the PL .

Not sure Moyes fancies Tim. Armstrong may benefit more from a loan..

Brownhill is a tidy player, but the main attraction here, obviously - he’s on a free.
Apart from the signing on fee and his wage bill , which will be higher than if he was bought .
We have to do better than the Brownhill’s .
Or we will never progress from mid table / relegation battlers .

So far we can say Barry, Anzou and Alcaraz are more on the exciting side with plenty room to improve so I could handle a boring but solid signing like brownhill to make up the numbers, especially on a free. One injury to Gana(AFCON too) and our sitting midfield has no teeth. Brownhill gets about the pitch tbf
