Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He may well dither or lacks the aura to attract big names quickly.

imagine Moyes, instead of Ancelotti, trying to sign James Rodriguez.

Its why I felt confident Lampard/Everton would sign Onana over Moyes/West Ham.

But the counter to that is generally, Moyes sense check on players is something we've perhaps lacked over the years.

The whole thing that is confusing me is that there are so many free agents who still don’t have a new club.

It seems that their agents might be advising them to hold off because they may get a club acting desperately in a few weeks and throwing more at them in wages.

However, surely the players needs to weigh that against the fact the delay means they will miss pre season with a new club and no amount of individual training will get that back.

We are far too slow at present, that isn't remotely controversial to say. At a bare minimum, we should have had our major problem position, right wing, addressed before the US tour.

Interesting.
So , considering the general consensus is that we are at least five players short of a squad your contention is that every player we have selected to fill those positions is either reluctant to join or touring Japan .
We are either highly unlucky, a little too selective in our shortlists or we just have an extremely poor scouting system ( in my personal opinion of course 🙂)
We are maybe trying to be too ambitious. But then the fans complain. What is your explanation for why we haven't signed anyone yet? We just can't be bothered?
