You must be reading things differently than I.A lot more hits than misses, especially in players that cost actual money. That’s all you can ask for. Even the players some people consider failures like Bilyaletdinov and Beattie arguably did more than a lot of the recent failed signings
Bit harsh on Gosling thatYou must be reading things differently than I.
Hits: Baines, Lescott, Distin, Yobo, Jagielka, Pienaar, Howard, Stones, Arteta, Cahill, Martyn, Bent, Coleman.
Misses: Bilyaletdinov, Beattie, van der Meyde, Kroldrup, Heitinga, Jelavic, Wright, Davies, Rodrigo, Valente, Baardsen, McFadden, Gosling, Gueye, Silva, Jutkiewicz, Turner, Vellios, Kennedy.
Fellaini did well but was our most expensive player by that point as well. Yakubu was good for a while, but was our most expensive signing at the time. Johnson likewise, never worth what we paid for him even if he was decent. Mirallas likewise, wasn't bad but never really played well consistently. Oviedo was ok as was Kilbane. People hated Neville but he played a lot in the end so can't call him a miss. Ruddy didn't really get a chance at Everton.
Didn't get a bad injury at one point with us? I think he left because he was upset by how he was treated while injured, not sure if by Moyes or other staff at the club (or both)I was on two minds, but he defo wasn't a good siging. 37 matches in total before being shipped out. And most of those as sub.
I have explained further in my following post. It's a team effort as Moyes will have had to sign off on the likes of Paqueta and Kudus who would have been scouted and he will have proposed a few players to the board as well like Bowen, Eze and Watkins. As well as the likes of Vlasic and Zouma who obviously didn't work out. I'm just balancing the reality than some giving Moyes all the blame/credit for those signings.Ah, the old "the manager bought all of the good players and the DoF/chairman/owner bought all the bad ones" argument again. It's a classic.
The profit on Stones alone paid for all the supposed failures.Moyes's signings last time: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dav.../trainer/450/plus/0/galerie/0?station_id=2392
That’s quite a team for a U21s. They’d probably make the World Cup if they trotted out as the full side for qualification. You would of just been better off copy & pasting htis list mate

4 goals since January 24 for doucoure, in probably over 40 games as a number 10, aren’t all games important?? I think we definitely need a starter in midfield alongside gana, not sure if Neil is good enough as a starterI think it wouldn't be impossible if we signed the following:
- Evan Ferguson (lower fee now he's been a bit of a dud at West Ham but still 19 with bags of potential)
- Dan Neil (of the Rigg/Neil combo, more affordable, and a high potential understudy for our DMs)
- Charly Alcaraz (obvious conversion of loan for AM)
- Doucoure (1 year extension, it's hard not to see it at this point given his goal scoring record in important games)
Can we date to dream about signing a decent right footed right midfielder, a new RB and LB, and possibly a better backup GK
