They’ll buy a few players quickly with the £100m+ burning a hole in Demis Roussos pockets.
They seem to have excellent links to the South American market so wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in one or two from there.

I’m hopeful (maybe naively so) that we’ll have a couple of players lined up after the American pre season tour.

That’s how they got him mate, prob how Ipswich got Delap and how Sunderland got Diarra, spend a year at bottom feeders, do well in the PL, go to a bigger club on bigger wages after a year.

There is an emerging short term market for players and promoted teams both with short term needs who will agree a deal for a small release clause in relative terms.

I don’t think we’d agree to such a small profit with a release clause.
