At drastically reduced wages which is why they didn’t stay and we knew they wouldn’t

I’d have kept Doucoure on if he halved his wage which is about what he was worth but he was never actually going to
I can still see Doucs skulking back when he finally understands nobody will pay him even half of his contract here, and Moyes will pay him on the head and give him 75% of what he was on.

I went to San Sebastián in April and went to watch Sociedad.
They lost 2-0 and were awful on the day but I remember thinking Kubo looked very good, quick, tricky and worked hard.
San Sebastián is fantastic by the way and well worth a visit.

There has to be some reason behind this decision mate.

Moyes is obviously prioritising

If Tete comes on a free that's more cash banked for CB...ultimately he's signed for Fulham so priorities have shifted again.

I more than anyone wanted Keane gone but Moyes decided money is better going into other positions.

We can read it as Moyes wanting a RB, CB & LB all on frees/extensions.

Or we can look at it as him wanting 2 frees to spend some money on the remaining defensive position.

With the likes of Keane and Harrison, Coleman and whatever else...im not going to get wound up until i see the top level 'elite' players we sign.

This makes total sense. Moyes won't have the only say in transfers, but he should absolutely have the last say before recommendations go to Kinnear to approve finances and Hammond to negotiate the terms.

Moyes is notorious for interrogating players motives and backgrounds, and if he is not convinced he will veto the deal. I'm ok with that, it's his squad to manage. If he thinks Keane is a better bet than the other player then I'd back his 1000 games as a manager against anyone else's opinions, even my own. 👍🏻

He should interrogate himself as to why we offered deals to those weve been waiting years to get rid of.

Also interrogate himself on which of the players were looking to sign is 'elite'.

Fair play👍

Just I reminder though we haven't signed Harrison...yet ha.

I see the strategy is clear now…

Sign one new player for money and then re sign as many OOC players as possible.

Jobs a good’un! 👍
