Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Our right side was utter garbage to be fair. Drastically needs improving and then I would be confident we might do pretty well next season.
Been years sad thing dont really remember seeing us out wide really out pacing the opposition and breaking away fast. Would like to think is at the top of the list for moyes

He seems a bit of a one trick pony. Drop the shoulder, go on the outside and whip a cross in. Doesn't seem very quick, so you really wonder if he could make the step up.
Yeah was abit of the price aswell if honest st 10 mill would like to think would hold the sell on value if it didnt work out. Is interesting to see what the club does, have only really seen strong links to him and the lad doak at the rs who would cost more

The fact that message got 2 likes says it all
Some of our fans are embarrassing.
The acceptance of mediocrity is their standard
Not being funny but you’ve been on this high horse for days now and it’s getting tiresome.

You absolutely lost your head over a tenuous Josh Brownhill rumour and accused everyone who said it would be fine as a body in midfield as having no standards. Hope you feel boss about yourself for being such a winner.

Give your head a wobble, you’re clearly deluded if you think we’re dropping serious cash on every priority position and the depth needed alongside

The dinosaur urge to degrade others over ‘standards’ is embarrassing, if you need to put people down to feel better, you need to log off and have a look at yourself.

Maybe, but it’s not Harrison’s fault the club paid him what they did. No reason to attack the man there… only the club.

I maintain you can’t ask for more than a person’s best, even if that best is far from good enough. Harrison was the player we had, perhaps all we could get other than blooding a youngster… but you never know how a youngster’s gonna handle the occasion. As much chance they wilt and become a liability (Harrison wasn’t that I don’t think, he was just unproductive) as they contribute something in a side flirting with relegation. Huge pressure - and at least Harrison was an experienced head. Plus it’s not as if our youngsters are brimming with potential right now.

I can see that playing Harrison was, to some degree, pragmatic in an environment where taking risks could easily be seen as reckless. Particularly given the potential price of a misplaced gamble.

Was he [Poor language removed]? Yes. Is that a reason to slate him when he could clearly do no better and the club elected to pay him - no. Is that a reason to think ill of him? No.

Its not his fault, no.

But im not having a go at the lad personally but he was a poor footballer and sadly i think the worst thing is that dycheball may of been the best style of play for him.

I think the club was in the trenches, had no money and he was a free body with PL experience.

Thats not his fault, hell its not even the clubs fault (bringing him in I mean) but tjat doesnt change the fact that he was doggy do

Days??? More like years, and it was nothing to do with a brownhill link, because I don’t think he will be on Everton’s radar,
It was the fact about 30 fans on here thought he’d be a good signing and play regularly and you can add longstaff as well and hearing that he’d be our best midfielder

I want us to have high standards and hoping the new regime have them too. Also you don’t need to waste money on garbage like 30yr old brownhill and giving him a 3yr deal
That was my point, go and a loan a 30yr old for the season and save us about 10mil.
