Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Doesn't seem like a very us thing to do to be scouting young talent from South America, so probably nonsense. Is a right winger though. More likely that we sign his teammate Lucas Moura! 😂

Part of a Sao Paolo u20 side that won the biggest 2 youth competitions in Brazil last season.

Direct and 2 footed, yes please.

This is why "utility men" like Weah could be the order of the day. He played RW, RB, LW, LB, RM, LM and CF last season. Could be a canny signing.
I’d rather we bought specialists for each position, being a utility player has worked against a lot of our players, mainly defenders, Holgate, Galloway, Browning, Godfrey. I hate it when we swap them around LB, RB and CB and they never get to be coached in one position properly. That’s what I was fearful of with O’Brien.

Hard to argue with this counter when it comes down to defenders, especially as it tends to unsettle a back 4. What I will say is, though, players who can play across the front line are much more natural/fluid in doing so. Moreover, I'd imagine we'd only use Weah at LB/RB in an absolute emergency.
