Summer transfer window 2023

I would keep Gray and as for moving Iwobi I think you are mad. He is perpetual motion, injury free and creative.
Perpetually moving anywhere but towards goal and creating nothing, and all for the bargain price of £80k a week.

121 premier league appearances
6 premier league goals
11 premier league assists
£28m pound transfer fee + signing on fee
£10m+ in wages + appearance fees and (very few) goal and assist bonuses

Why would we get rid?

Creating nothing. Mate do you ever watch us? An assist is the last pass before a goal, things happen before that. People don't watch anymore they look at bullshit stats that tell you virtually nothing.

You have watched us play, right? We've been circling the drain for two years. In that time Alex Iwobi has been a nearly constant presence. As a creative force and a game changing presence he has been a complete non-entity. Yes, he runs around a lot, yes, he works hard, however his positive impact on games is negligible. He is a drain on this clubs resources.

All of this is moot, no-one else will pay him what we pay him, no offers will come in. And that, in itself, speaks volumes.

Considering we have no money, and it has to be a very pragmatic transfer window, how about:

Defence: Sign Coady, let go Mina and sell Holgate, bring back Nkounkou and Branthwaite.
Coleman, Patterson, Coady, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Godfrey, Niels and Myko.
Midfield: Sell / Loan (AGAIN!) JPG, Delle Alli and Gomes Plus Davies
Iwobi, Garner, Gana, Onana, Doucoure + Tyler Adams From Leeds
Attack:
Loan back Richy, buy Vardy, buy or loan Emile Smith Rowe

Sell Maupay
Attack: Richy, DCL, Vardy, Emile Smith Rowe, Gray, McNeil

Our signings could be either buy or loan deals for
Jamie Vardy - why not? guaranteed 10 goals if we can keep him fit. Not a young player obviously, but maybe he wants to prove he can still play at Prem level.
Emile Smith Rowe - had loads of potential and played really well for Arsenal until Odegaard went elite level
Tyler Adams - seems to be a hard working versatile player that would match our new team ethic.
Niels has to be as good as Myko - definitely seems more athletic and pacey
Branthwaite - also good reports and ratings
Richarlison - loan deal cos it didn't work out for him and then he gets back in form or gets a new club. Things like this have happened before, and he has to do something to get better than 1 goal in the season!

Seems like this would be a nice refresh and not cost too much.

I dont think it's realistic to get rid of too many, so we're still stuck with Keane, Godfrey Myko Iwobi but we have to be able to sell someone - hopefully Davies, Maupay and Holgate make a good start.

Niels Is going to the ligue 2 side that he is on loan with, where they plan to automatically sell him for three times what they will pay for the option to buy deal set up with everton

That’s like saying Declan rice and Bellingham aren’t good players because the competition is Jordon Henderson and kalvin Phillips. He started one of the World Cup games and the last qualifier ahead of Witsel and Tielemans.

Personally thought he had a good game v Bournemouth, yet there seems to be an agenda with him already.
There's no doubt about your last sentence, it's at best weird and at worst who knows what the motivation is to slaughter a talented and seemingly really nice young lad.

Seems to be lots of people who seem to think real life works like a computer game where you can just ship out a load of players in one go with no shortage of takers lining up to pay good money for them.

I've seen it a thousand times.

1. Fan gets hold of squad list, crosses out half the names, and posts on GOT demanding that the club "get rid" of 20 named players. (You can only hope that the players themselves never read these horrible negative posts.)

2. Majority of offers received during transfer window are for top players who fans want to keep. Because funnily enough, those are also the players that other clubs want in their teams. Overpaid and underperforming players prove difficult to sell, even when they're told by the club that they're surplus to requirements.

3. Fan gets indignant that the club hasn't managed to sell this group of players (most of whom they never had any intention of selling anyway).

Davies is out of contract and I'd want to keep Onana and Doucoure.

Iwobi
Holgate
Maupay
Gomes
Gbamin
Godfrey
Keane
Gray
Simms

If we could move all of them on (Nkounkou would bring in £2mil also) it could be circa £65mil. All hitting the books in one go along with the saving on wages from out of contract and these players we'd be pretty flush.
Who is buying Keane? Even the manager that basically launched his premier league career and even attempted to revived his career realized how much of a liability he was and ceased playing him. Dysche was the one manager I could see acquiring him lol but I think he's educated himself

Wouldn’t mind us looking at Sarr from Watford again. Pacey and a goal threat from the right. Still only 25
Apparently the guy has a bad attitude & is not overly liked in the dressing room.

Moyes was interested in bringing him to West Ham, but after doing his homework, withdrew. More trouble than he's worth (apparently).

Yup. Absolute mystery why AC Milan, Real Madrid, Nottingham Forest and Hull are not battling it out to sign Holgate and Keane and Godfrey and Maupay in a £50m mega deal isn't it.
