We are SO much better with him that it's something that should be considered. Obviously the contract couldn't be anything like what he's on now but don't need to match that, we just need to match what he'd get elsewhere.
At the same time the medical department will have a full picture of his long term prospects of staying fit, so if they are saying he should not be renewed on any contract I'd trust their judgement.

Yes would be a good fit considering how crucial set pieces will be next season. I assume thought he'll be part of the collection of players West Ham will attempt to buy to try to replace Rice in one go.
Wonder if Hamer from Coventry is worth a look at? Scored a nice goal in the play off final and scored 11 for them over the season.

Luke Thomas would be the one from Leicester I’d go for. Barnes, Maddison etc are going to bigger fish.

Pretty much this. If we can slot the winger into the center if the central striker breaks, that would be a massive bonus.

Player Valuation: £60m
Hamer is an excellent little player, very creative, gets goals, quick, strong, and not afraid to get stuck in there. Ward Prowse is an odd one imo, he is world class on set pieces but the res of his midfield play is fairly ordinary. If you look at his numbers for other stuff like tackles and interceptions and passing and general midfield stuff they are nothing special.
Thelwell's hit rate is actually pretty good, most of the guys we signed last summer have contributed well, Garner looks a player and we'd already make a profit on Onana. He also got us 40m for Gordon. it's just that the key position was striker and we got Maupay so that's a pretty big negative but I'd say his work so far is neutral to good.

In amongst the deadwood in our squad there’s actually a core of decent young talent we should be looking to build around. Branthwaite coming back from a very successful loan, McNeil has had a very good second half of the season, Garner has made a great impression after getting over his injuries, Patterson has shown potential. Cannon has had a successful loan and along with Mills should probably be integrated into the first team squad over pre-season.
Financially, our accounts for 2022-23 will be far healthier, so although we still need to probably sell to buy, it shouldn’t be like last year when we needed to sell Richarlison by June 30th to get cash in the bank. Staying up means we’re in a much better position to demand a premium price for the likes of Onana. If we sell him for £60m or so that money needs to be very carefully invested.

We’re about to bring the wage bill down significantly by letting Mina, Townsend, Davies, Coady and Vinagre leave. Reckon we can do a deal to sell Gomes too. Absolute bonus if we can punt Alli or Gbamin.
Seems fairly clear we’ll sell Onana if a big bid comes in to fund our transfers. Think virtually everyone is for sale though. I’d be keeping Pickford, Tarky, Garner and McNeil, but honestly everyone else is up for grabs. I’d say DCL too but sadly he seems finished.
