If we had a budget of say £20mil for a centre forward but then sold DCL, Simms and Maupay to get us up to around £47.5mil...how many forwards would you be able to buy with that who can practically be a 'guarantee' to score alot of goals, see their value rise and improve the team?

None, I think for 47.5m you could sign ZERO players that would guarantee to score a lot of goals.

Newcastle paid 70m for Isak, the boy looks a talent, but they are currently playing him left wing.
Big Red paid 90m? for that utter donkey Nunez.
Chelsea paid 100m for Lukaku.

So there isnt an amount of money that guarantees goals.

And so on.

If you ask me can we sign 2 Strikers for 47m, then the answer is yes, do they guarantee goals? Nope.

We paid 1.5m for Calvert Lewin, without his injuries, who knows where he would at, goals wise.

Good scouting gets you good players, its really not rocket science. Im not a scout, im just a fan with access to youtube and MOTD, but I could sign 2 Strikers for 47m and they would be a success.

Trust me Brighton are upset about selling Caicedo and Macalister and will do whatever they can to hold onto them. They don't need the money but like Dortmund they have a model which attracts the worlds best young players because they will allow them to get when the time is right.

I can absolutely guarantee they aren’t upset about it. The profits they are making on those two players alone will sort their FFP out for the next 3 years at least.

Genuinely not sure either player would fetch 4.5m. However at that point the consideration becomes years on contracts. When do those two players have to leave versus what Coady would be stuck on? The goal should be to no longer have any of them.
