We won't sign Dolberg

Never know mate, recently admitted that he's not ready for a move to clubs like Chelsea, City and Utd and would rather go to a good club and get games to keep up his development.

We've set the bar at Schneiderlin recently, and last time we where in Europe we could attract the likes of Barry (veteran top class players) and Lukaku and Deulofue (very highly touted young players)

Sigurdsson types would equate to similar to Schneiderlin type signings
Rooney = Barry type
Tielemans, Dolberg would be in that Lukaku/Deulofeu category when we got them to sign permanently

The likes of Jagielka, Lescott and a few others would be around the Gibson/Keane level


So basically we 'can' attract a good level and have done over the last 10 years, what we need to do is attract 7-8 of that level in one summer though.

The likes of Mertens, VVD, Koulibaly would be beyond anything we've previously managed though

I'm with @ijjysmith regarding being on the fence with who will actually come but you are right regarding Schneiderlin and the reason being is he is the type of quality player who just wants to play football. Too many see themselves as bigger than what they are or Everton as a stepping stone. Very difficult to get the top players to choose us as basically everyone has dollar to spend these days

So important to get the right players not just quality wise nut personality wise. Ronald definitely left a good impression on Morgan so it can happen, question is can we do that again another 4/5 times in the summer.

I know mate. I won't worry about who we get at the back, or worry wether we miss out on the likes of van Dijk or Koulibay cos there's so many good CB's in world football currently and I'm sure we'll end up with a top CB or 2!

Hmm, know what you mean, but why say it and then not go through with it? Saying what he has, he may just be saying he wants to stay at Ajax in subtle way and carry on his development there?!....

Still very much in the believe it all when I see it camp.

Thing is mate, everyone we are linked to whose quality, is being linked with 7-8 other top teams usually, how often in reality does any player garner that much 'genuine' interest or bidders really, fair enough we may not be after them, but ones we are won't have all the teams supposedly after them like reported either.

Think about most really good young propsects when they moved, Lukaku to us - De Bruyne to Wolfsburg, Depay to United, Torres to the rs, basically loads of teams linked but none really bidded, same with Dolberg and Tielemans, maybe 1-2 teams will follow interest through.

the games becoming more and more about instant results at the top teams, and they want the ready made player

Why does everyone like Mertens so much? He's 30 in a few days and this is the only season I've actually though he stood out. Proper Belgian Vardy in my opinion for what he'd cost.

He's not a striker butting the goals in, having a great season, first time he's got 20 goals or more since his PSV days. He's a class player.

Reports of the RS and Mancs going in 25 mil on Fabregas.

I say if a player like that is going for 25 mil we could put a bid out there too. Would be boss to have him servicing the ball into Rom.

Milan have been strongly linked aswell, IF he leaves Chelsea I think he'd either go to Utd to work for Mourinho again or Milan.

Oh I agree we need a bit of an overhaul still really. Just think it won't be as easy to do as some people hope it will be.
