Summer Transfer Window 2017

I dont think Utd really want Keane, I think its more likely that Mourinho wants Lindelof or Verane but at the same time they will be worried about Everton strengthening. Utd I think will show an interest and drive the price up for us probably towards the 30mil mark so they get the most from their 25% clause and deplete our resources to go for other players. Mourinho as a rule just doesn't buy british and think he would rather go for Verane if he can get him.

Utd have also been linked to Marquinhos of late aswell!

Ross is an attacking midfielder who likes to create chances and score goals.

Tielemans is a box to box attacking midfielder who has the second highest total of assists and goals after Alli this season.

They both play as attacking midfielders, just Tielemans can defend better than Ross.

If we were to get him he could easily be a replacement for Ross.

Tielemans can play at No.10 but is a CM that gets forward and gets goals. Barkley is an attacking mid but not productive enough, doesn't get in the box enough and doesn't get enough goals.

Tielemans really would be a top signing. Has everything to be a top player.
In all seriousness if City, Monaco etc are interested then he won't be coming to Everton.

In hindsight that's true but the player himself as said he won't just go to a big team to be on the bench and a bit part player. He wants to go to a good club and play more regularly to keep up his progression and he's already agreed when asked that a club like us would be ideal for him so who knows, we may just have a chance of signing him?!

He's got one year left on his contract and I'm sure he's aware some fans are concerned about his contract situation.

Silence from the manager, claiming ignorance (which seems unlikely he has no idea on Ross's stance) and silence from Ross.

Maybe I'm putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5 but I don't think the signs look promising.

Totally agree mate, I honestly think Barkley will be gone in the summer....

No, but Fabrizio Romano said it, and he is one of, if not the most reliable reporter out there.

Him who said Kolasinac was certain to join Milan, but then we stole him and offered him better terms and then Arsenal had signed him (But they haven't...)? That reliable reporter?!....

Can't see it myself. City will spend big this summer but it will be on defensive acquisitions. They need arguably a new GK, two FB and at least one centre half. They have an embarrassment of riches behind aguero/Jesus (de Bruyne, silva, sane, sterling, gundogan) that tielemans would be competing against.

By all accounts City want Mendy (Monaco LB), Bertrand, Walker, van Dijk, Tielemans & Sanchez...

Davy Klaasen will leave Ajax this summer according to his agent. Schalke, Lazio and Villarreal interested.

Quality player, and one Koeman as watched personally a few times this season according to official Ajax pages on Twitter. Could be a good signing, plays in a midfield 3 in a typical 4-3-3 which Koeman likes, has goals and assists in him. Can see the likes of him, Tielemans and Sigurdsson as being genuine targets in the summer!

With all these foreign names being banded about, most of who I have rarely heard of, is it the daftest shout in the world to nab Defoe as the perfect back up, squad filling, reliable striker?

In the EL now after all.

Yup, take Defoe every day. Little to no risk and almost definitely able to bang in a few in what is going to be a long longggg season

Watched Leverkusen get pumped at home to Schalke this morning. Couldn't say I was too impressed by Leno.

All good keepers have off days or poor seasons here and there. Leverkusen in general are having a poor season but there's plenty of players there that anyone would take.

If we could get one of Koulibaly or VVD we'd straight away be a much better side.

Rooney looks more or less a done deal.

If Rom goes then you'd expect us to go for someone like Lacazette who doesn't seem to be on the same level but scores goals.

After how poor our general business was last summer and being unable to tie up deals (even Arnautovic turned us down ffs, how could he prefer to stay at Stoke?), we need a couple of statement signings.

It'll be interesting to see which of the young lads get brought into the squad with Europa next season and Koeman saying he prefers to use youngsters than buy a stack of extra players for it.

I actually don't think someone like Lacazette would be on our radar as a replacement for Lukaku. This will sound daft as I know he scores goals but I think Koeman will look for more of a target man type CF...
