But it's April so it's way way way too early to be thinking about all this.

He's not the best in his position, far from it. But we need more good players. More players who can do something out of nothing. If he's a clerverley replacement then I'm all for it.

Isn't every young barca player highly touted though? Just to run a few names off, Tello, Allefay, Deloufeu, Bojan, traore all meant to be stars for the future and all of them couldn't make the cut. There was Adriano the full back recently, Maxwell, just seems every kid at barca is marked up to be world class before they have even shown it on the pitch.

Sorry, but who out of them would you not want in some sort of capacity at our club now? Bearing in mind we have Kone as a back up striker.

I'm not sure that's entirely true.

2nd in most stats behind him and topped him in a couple. Seeing as one was playing for the champions and one was for a relegated team, it was impressive, certainly wasn't a case of "he didn't shine for villa".

Schneiderlin wasn't great at Man Utd, Gueye the same at Villa... It doesn't always work out for players at other clubs. But at the time Sigurdsson was at Spurs they weren't doing great and the likes of Eriksen and Lamela struggled but they soon came good. I'm sure if they'd of kept Sigurdsson he'd of turned it around also.

The thing with Sigurdsson is that even at a struggling Swansea, he's still done relatively well and been at the top of the assist charts along with the best players in our league and got good amounts of goals, plus he takes a mean set piece and all that would add something to us. Imo anyway...

Gueye was brilliant for Villa.

The problem with this though is you're seeking an answer that doesn't adequately portray the context of the original post, or our future desires.

Would I prefer Tello, Allefay, Deloufeu, Bojan or Traore over Koné? Well yes obviously, but it's not an option of simply comparing to one player.

A more suitable and realistic question is whether in the Summer would people be happy with signing the likes of of Tello, Allefay or Bojan?

Personally, I'd sincerely doubt whether either of those players would be good enough signings - even merely as squad player in some instances!

The point, which I tend to agree with, is that Barcelona outcasts are often unjustly labelled as fantastic players simply because they're from Barca.
