Summer Priority

I seem to remember a belgian lad coming on here back when Fellaini was only 6 or 7 games in and questions were being asked of him. He explained the roles he and Defour played together and how effective they were as a midfield pair - Fellaini breaking up attacks high up the pitch and Defour acting as a deep-lying playmaker, IIRC. He could be a good signing, he looked handy against us and Liverpool last year.

I thought he played more or less on the wing against us though, maybe I was looking at the wrong fella :D.

Aww it's so cute that you remember me :D
well done though, basically what i said (y)

Most people have a similar view that our priority is a wide right player somebody with much needed pace would be ideal there are two or three options in Germany Tranquillo Barnetta and Jakub Blaszczykowski both very good players and would probably be available if a good enough offer was recieved and in Spain moyes is a fan of Jesus Navas from Sevilla.

A ball winning centre midfield player for me and one player stands head and shoulders above the rest and thats Stephane Mbia everytime i see him play he impresses me.

Also another striker id be quite happy for Victor and Saha to leave the club and for us to get another striker in it might well be a loan signing with the usual names being mentioned i feel a deal for Benni McCarthy could be an option who knows.

We also need then another two players and a lot depends on finances it could be a Matthew Bates type player or it could be the more impressive but more expensive Fabian Delph.

One player i have a sneaky feeling who will be at Goodison next season is Lucas Neill.

Top priority must be our right side. A top right back and a Piennar look-a-like in front of him.

Goalkeeper

Not a massive Fan of Howard but hes more good then bad and not a priority at the mo, i wouldnt mimind young Smithies coming in, Its aparently a done deal so fair play, my big question is will we get some sponds for Ruddy and Turner?

Defence

Personally Id have Neville back at right full next season, with Hibbo as support, id either buy a young promiseing CB or loan someone like Mancinne with an option to buy, i dont care what anyone says if your challenging for the top four you need 4 centre backs. If we have four centre backs i dont think theres a need for covering full back with Lecostt more then able, and Nev could play there at a push.

Midfeiled

The focal point for me, we need a strong, athletic, tough midlfeilder in there, to back Fellaini or Arteta depending on the game. Far to often our best players are left without protection or an outlet, the ball needs to move quicker through the midfiled, but also needs to be quicker in respone and stronger on opposition couter attacks and defending, personaly id go for Delph or Mbia. We also need another creative outlet, centrally, Arteta needs cover or someone to take the burden of him when hes not on form or injured, if possible id go for the Mout or Twitoski at Hamburg two "next step" players.

The rights been talked about, we need soemeone there, there is a lot of potential out there IMO i wouldnt mind seeing us take a chance on a young player like McCarthy, Barnes or someone of that ilk its hard trying to pick players for that position as i think Moyesy likes playing with wingers who can cme inside and play centrally and allow the width to come form fullbacks. Many may feel thats to many players for midfeild but its all about options, we've been done for lack of in a few games in midfeild this season.

Forwards

We're sound for me, though i wouldnt be surprised to see Owen come in. I think we may get a few sponds for Jukebox.

*I think we may see one or two frees this summer Owen, Bates maybe even Neill and the odd loan, like i say Macinne with be a canny buy with the option of a buy. To e honest im not to pushed, anything added thats better is a bonus, but i think this squad is good enough for a top four next season.

Would love to have Valencia and/or Tevez but that's a pipe dream.

RW - not sure if Hogdson likes Dempsey (the fans do though) however instead of sulking after being benched he worked his behind off and is arguably Fulham's 3rd best player (Hageland, Swartzer). Might be worth 4-5M if Hogdson wants to part with him. He can score 6-9 goals a season from the RW position and play striker if we have a run of injuries at the position. He can create and has a good shot just outside the box as well which we could use.

RB - we'd be OK at RB with Hibbo/Neville/Jacobsen? if we get a quality RW. Can't think of one though to buy. Johnson will cost too much. Richards is out of favor and Moyes can make him an international again but Citeh would have to swallow at least 1/2 his wages.

LW - Not a priority since South Africa isn't in ANC. I'd be OK with Steven Hunt coming in. He's one of my favorite players. Alot more skilled than people think and plays his best games against the top teams. I think Peanut could move to center-left and be a more creative midfielder if we got him.

Striker - I'd also be OK with Jo on loan/5M. He's still young and going to get better if he plays for a non-dysfunctional squad.

That Johnson kid on Swansea looks like he could be a good striker in the prem. Pity he's 27.

Benni McCarthy and Lucas Neil, HELL NO!

We need someone who can break legs.

Jacobsen is currently preparing for Denmark's World Cup qualifier in Sweden this weekend but may have to wait for an answer from Everton as Moyes considers alternative targets. Sheffield United's Kyle Naughton and West Ham United's Lucas Neill have been linked with Goodison, although the latter's age – he is 31 –and personal demands are unlikely to appeal to Moyes

Please god not Stephen Hunt, every time I've seen him he hasn't even looked good enough for Reading

The final against Chelski showed that we only have one effective side - the left. Imagine if we could get a right side working as well as our left.

I've probrably seen more of Jacobsen than most of you and believe me he is not the answer to our RB position. He'll provide good and solid cover, but I'm very concerned about his pace - he seems to have been born without the sprint-gene. So as a free agent and someone who has proved he can fit in with the team, I'd take him, but not as first-choice RB.

For the RB position I don't think we can get any better than Rod Fanni of Rennes. He has it all, pace, toughness and even a great ability to beat his direct opponent through a combenation of pace, guile and power. Would be expensive though - £7-8 m.

I agree on Stephen Defour, even though I've only seen him play three times or so. He would be good in the DM and would be able to let us put Arteta on the right side of midfield. One time was in an international with Fellaini against Spain or Italy and the two of them completely controlled the midfield and the game, and was in the midst of everything that Belgium threw forward. He would be an astunding player to get, but he won't come cheap - £10-12 m.

I would still like for us to get Ebanks-Blake, Kightly and Hennessey from Wolves, but as others have pointed out, they would let them go now that they're in the PL.

Let Anichebe, Castillo and Valente go, but keep everybody else, in an ideal world, that would leave us with

Howard

Fanni - Jagielka - Lescott - Baines

Defour

Arteta - Fellaini - Piennar

Cahill

Yakubu
