Well technically the International Window still opened on the 1st July, so technically Premier Clubs had "less" time, but its only from a paperwork POV.

Pretty sure it was. Even so, closing ours before the Europeans did was a bit daft.

The summer transfer window has to be open for 8 weeks and the winter transfer window needs to be open for 4 weeks every season, all premier league clubs agreed for the transfer window to close before the season started so there wasn't any discord between the players and managers while the season had started

Its 12 weeks in the Summer, but yeah, "we" didnt have less time, my point was that "we" couldnt sign off on the paperwork still till the 1st July, its a minor point.

But we certainly didnt lose any time.

Can’t you just wait until it is over before kicking off? If it turns out with just those two you’ll have plenty that agree with you.

I mean I get the downsides to it, I would honestly go further and stop sales after the date, but yeah that would probably be complicated.

People went from too negative to too positive quickly. I bet we only sign a cb, and non of these other fantasies. We are still Everton, Marcel can only do so much. We never have good windows.
