Just a word of caution lads, but if I was a prospect right now, Everton would be low on my list.
We have been a mess for some 18 months and it will take a decent season with playing decent football for these potentials to put us as a number one option.
Just an opinion ;)

Yep, they will look at the way Lookman and Vlasic have been treated and think screw that.

..I think it’s a fair point, but being cynical let’s not forget we will pay top bucks wages. Unless one of the Manchester clubs want a player, Everton is still an attractive proposition.

To be honest, I would pick two training dustbins over Jags and Williams this season. Both are finished at Everton, certainly as first teamers.
Jags was a top player few years back though, no doubt.

Baines and Jags need replacing...however I don't mind having them as 2nd and 4th choices respectively next season simply to ensure a smooth transition and help to bring on the new players.

I agree that both need replacing, I just question whether I would be replacing them with Harry Maguire, he looks superb running with the ball, but from what ive seen, he cant defend at all.

He can do the tough stuff, but anything that requires movement or tackling, hes bad.

Wouldn't disagree, but we have not done ourselves any favours.
Think we are in a lull at the moment, not as attractive as we were and not as attractive as we could be 12 months down the road.

Yeah, as long as Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Utd, City or Arsenal dont want them, we are very attractive.

...but they might have one of our main targets further down their lists. Clearly we can’t compete with those but if the DoF is shrewd enough we should be able to acquire top quality.

Great example here is Ryan Sessegnon.

'Everyone' thinks he will go to United or Spurs...but he wouldn't be an immediate starter at either side.

If he came to us we can offer him a starting place either at LB or LW from day 1...yes he would still be rotated in/out but he would get a huge amount of games in comparison to if he joined another club.

Personally feel that with our batch of u21s he would also find that he integrates well into the squad and these two factors could give us an 'edge'.

Similarly the same goes for the 'Cook's and Chilwell's' who are ready for the next step up the ladder.

He would start with Spurs on the Left Wing and United NEED a LB, as I pointed out the other day, the only team in the top 6 that dont need a LB are Chelsea.

Son has been playing on the left for Spurs...Erikson has also been played there (I think?) and theres no way hes getting games ahead of them...and others they will have ready to play next season...

Theres no chance Mourinho would play a 17/18/19 year old at left back as a starter...

Man City also have 2 left backs and can buy anyone...he wont be getting starts.

Arsenal have Monreal who their fans claim has been one of their best players this season...

Well if hes not good enough for Spurs and United, we dont want him Zat, NEXT.
