I mean I know Morgan is awful but was Bakayoko much better last season. Honestly don’t think he was. Every time I watched him he looked way out of his depth.

It seems we’re looking at this a bit too rudimentarily. You don’t just sign players because they are clear upgrades over x in that position. Sometimes you sign players in order to provide depth at a position.
