Hahaha. So much shade in that article. Proper funny him. He seems proper salty at the fact he’s getting absolutely zero scoops from Everton this summer. Unlucky fella, go and get on your knees for Kloppo for your transfer tidbits.

The bit about Liverpool is ridiculous. They finished 4th and we finished 8th. 15 years ago we finished 17th so anyone trying to make out that the gulf is as big as it’s ever been is frankly ridiculous.

Based on performances last season I can’t remember a time when they were so much better than us. We were terrible! They were very impressive.

We can’t do anything about them though, so as long as we improve this season then hopefully we’ll at least be able to look forward to games again.

The plot thickens as Sky Italia are referenced by Kaveh Solhekol.

Evening Standard report Palace manager Roy Hodgson wants to sign another forward after Bakary Sako left in the summer and Bolasie has been told he can leave Everton by new manager Marco Silva.

More Mina, from the Echo now - The supposedly reliable Sport.es reported in Spain last night, a deal had been struck, but Everton's long-standing interest is well known. Barca are understood to have been demanding in excess of £30m for the Colombian defender who only joined the club in January for around £10.5m - and has played just six times.

Lee Clayton, Daily Mail revealed free agent Bernard would join Everton. The Brazil international is set to have a medical Wednesday.

Multiple sources explain Bernard chose Everton due to the influence of Marco Silva, beating off Atletico, AC Milan, Chelsea amongst others.

That’s all there is for this edition of Eggs News, but tune in tomorrow for some more.

Stay classy jazz hounds. x

Wouldn't shock me mate, if as reported we had terms agreed with the player and the only issue was fee structure, then it'd be a very easy one to resurrect.

Both him and Digne whilst not natural cbs can play there and let's be honest would still be massive improvements over the current lot. Alliws us to go to a back three as well if we do get someone like Mina in.

Removes the onus on having a deep lying cm playmaker which we haven't got either.

Long shot but then again if you said a few days ago we'd be signing Bernard then not a person would have thought it possible.

Just it wouldn't shock me is all if it was a last minute deal we did.

Pickford,
Holgate, Mina, Tierney,
Coleman, Digne
Gueye/Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson
Bernard, Tosun/Walcott, Richarlison

Could work well like

More chance of me eating a Fiat Punto than us signing another LB, Ste.

We need to walk away now from this Mina business.

Plenty of CBs out there...apparently Brands was brought in for just such a search.
Should have walked away weeks ago. We must have had a list of centre backs in order of priority. If your first choice is messing you about move down the list, don’t leave it until 48 hours before the window shuts when you’ve got Keane and Jags as starters.

We drew with them twice last season....
