Do I think we can find similar players for less, maybe. But at a risk. This guy completely transforms our midfield AND we can ship Morgan out to Marseille or wherever for like 15-20M.

If Siggurdson and Gueye are two nailed down spots in our midfield then we need an absolute worldy next to them like a Busquets/Alonso type who is going to sit deep positionally but also make the play. Putting a box to box midfielder next to Gueye just seems pointless.

In a 3 you want one holding, one creative, and one box to box. We have no creative, an awful holding mid in Schneiderlin, a box to box in Gueye who doesn’t like tompass forward, and Siggurdson playing a weird second striker role which means he gets to do jack all but be revered for it.
