I think people have misunderstood the 'next few days' comment from.silva.

I think it is we go to portugal with what we have, then when we return from portugal, we should see signings in the next few days after that. Not the next few days from now

....the transfer window closes 3 weeks today, and here’s what the rumour columns are saying about the Toffees this Thursday morning;

- Speaking after their 1-1 draw with Bury, Everton Manager Marco Silva said the Toffees are about to start their close season spending: “in the next few days, I’m confident of landing our targets”.

- Depending on who you listen to, the situation regarding Malcom differs. Sky Sports report Everton have initiated talks with Bordeaux and the French club’s Chairman, Stephane Martin will meet Everton officials this week to negotiate further. The Liverpool Echo and Daily Post, however, say Everton have no interest in the 21 year old Brazilian winger.

- The Times claim Marco Silva is interested in luring Danny Welbeck to Everton. The 27 year old Arsenal Forward is in the final year of his contract.

- The Times also report Silva is ready to launch a bid for Watford’s 21 year old Brazilian winger, Richarlison, despite there being bad blood between the clubs.

- According to Het Nieuwsblad Everton are in talks with Real Sociedad regarding Adnan Januzaj. The 23 year old Belgian winger scored 3 goals in 28 games last season.

- Mundo Deportivo continue to link Everton with 28 year old Espanyol defender, David Lopez.

At least we`d have someone new to boo next season if we signed Wellbeck and Januzaj.

..from Silva’s quote, you have to think we have virtually acquired a couple of players. The rumours suggest we are interested in certain individuals but I would hope we are further on than that with what Silva calls ‘our targets’.

It’s either movements in before the Algarve Cup or a few days starting next Monday.

With our new structure, you’d hope we can make signings while the first team squad and manager are away.

Looks like any signings will be after the Portugal trip.

Onyekuru got playing time at his loan clubs, we got loan fees too. Tarashaj was a waste of cash really they shall not be compared in the same way.
