I wonder who's to blame for the current mess?
Moshiri not providing the funds or Brands out of his depth at Premier League level dealing with multi million transfers?
Neither, throwing more money at the situation is not the answer. Fact is we have too many players and the squad is way too big, guys like Garbutt, Galloway, Pennington, Tarashaj? etc etc have been allowed to hang around the club bulking the squad out even though they will never play. Walsh then brought a string of average players in last summer, £25m for someone from the Dutch league! the money spent on
Michael Keane who has the movement of a stoned snail( in fact the snail would probably be quicker) then to top it all off we brought in the gravylord, hardly known for improving players and guiding their development. We now have a coach rather than a manager, someone who should be able to improve a lot of the younger players at the club, and also willing to give guys like Lookman the chance they deserve and who also wants to integrate a number of the highly talented younger players like Dowell into the first team.
As for Brands, well he has a far better record in the transfer market than Walsh does, far too many people are sucked into this thing that he found Vardy, Mahrez and Kante and is great because of it, he didn't, he sat as head of a transfer team made up of 2 scouts and a data/stats guy ala moneyball style, when he came we should have brought all 4 of them as a scouting team and we didn't.
We as fans just need to let Marco and Marcel get on with their jobs, far too many of the fans are worrying about what other teams like West Ham are doing, who cares about bloody West Ham! We will be fine, We will sign players and We will finish in the top 7 imo.
