Perhaps the fans would be happier with a more pro-active shifting of the dead wood but then you'd have expected that to have happened during the world cup, so that money could be spent now it's over.

I think you may have missed one salient point in the theory of the free market
In order for a vendor ( Everton ) to sell goods ( either wanted or unwanted there must be a purchaser who is prepared to pay the Vendors asking price ( or close to same ) and be prepared to offer the unwanted goods a weekly salary that the unwanted goods find acceptable
This has only happened once to Everton in this window

I listened to him being described as Palaces lynchpin before we signed him and ‘unplayable on his day’ when we signed him and pre injury. I don’t recall him being either.

Zaha is a much more rounded player than Bolasie. Better touch, better pass/shot. Uses his skill in the right places.

Someone has changed his wikipedia page to say current club is WHam, but I think that's probably a blue on the wind up waiting for the fume on here. This week is going to see a lot of people get very stressed and rightly so. It’s worth noting that a lot of business gets done in the last week of the window - all parties (buying and selling clubs, players, agents etc) are trying to drive the best deals they can get.

Just like last season when clubs knew we were buying and squeezed us, they know we need to sell this season, we’re probably a bit of an easy touch at the minute.

As unfounded as it may be, i have more faith in the current reigieme to do a better job. Last season was such a failure that it could only have added pressure and focused minds.

I’m placing some blind and perhaps misguided faith in Brands, silva and the new board to get us back on track.

I’ll probably regret this.....

Great. That means when we buy some dullard and he turns out to be totally useless we'll have the ready-made excuse that he missed pre-season training. Seems we are the only club who, when a player misses pre-season, he goes onto have the worst season in memory. People were still using that excuse for McGeady 9 months after he arrived

The Silva interview was the first I have heard from him. His English is not as good as I had hoped. His Portuguese colleagues may be similar. The word "important" was used more times in 5 minutes than "phenominal" was used by Martinez.. It was partly the fault of the interviewer whose questions were really poorly thought up.

In all seriousness, there has never been one story from Watford or Hull that he struggled to communicate. It won't be an issue.
