It’s a view taken on a hypothetical that he may be going.
I presume you’re a romantic who feels we should keep our best players and build the team around them, fending off Madrid, Juventus etc? Maybe we should, but we won’t.

The reasons our club is ‘on its rear’ are too many to list and involve several cycles of ownership and mismanagement.

I’m just going to give the latest set up a bit of time to try and build something that gives us a platform to match the ambition of the better players. At the moment we’re nowhere near that.

If the replacements lined up are from PSV and Fiorentina, does that mean we're bringing in both Zoet and Dragowski? Or are we really going to put all our trust in a 20-year-old who was third choice at Fiorentina last season?
