...it’s a massive World Cup Wednesday, but before this evening’s match here’s this morning’s Toffee transfer rumours;

- According to Goal, Everton are closing in on a €24m deal for Barcelona’s Columbian Centre Back, Yerry Mina. Mina scored 8 goals in 84 games for Santa Fe and 8 in 33 for Palmeiras before moving to Spain in a £10.6m deal. Mina has played just 6 games for Barcelona. Goal say Everton Director of Football, Marcel Brands met with Barcelona officials on Monday.

- 4th Official tend to be a day or two behind other outlets and link Everton with a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. They also continue to link Everton with a move for Besiktas’ 29 year old Croatian Centre Back, Domagoj Vida and suggest Manchester United have re-ignited their interest in Celtic Left Back, Kieran Tierney.

- A Spor report talks between Everton and Fenerbahce over the loan transfer of Yannick Bolasie are ongoing and teammate Cenk Tosun has given Bolasie positive advice about a move to Turkey.

- The Derbyshire Telegraph say Middlesborough Manager, Tony Pulis, is eyeing a move for Everton midfielder, Mo Besic. However, Dominic Shaw of Gazzetta Live says the arrival of Paddy McNair from Sunderland means the signing of Besic is no longer a priority.

- Portuguese news outlet, Record, suggest Everton and Monaco are trying to hijack Real Betis’ move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder, William Carvalho. Transfer talks with Betis are said to have stalled.

- FootballOranje link Everton with a move for Spartak Moscow’s 26 year old lightening quick winger, Quincy Promes. In 2017 the Dutch international was named Russian Player of the Year and could be available for €35m.

- According to FranceFootball, Lille are interested in Everton’s 35 year old back-up goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg.

I don't trust this Mina rumour...goal .com first ran it..then the mirror picked it up citing goal as their sources and now the spanish press has picked it up citing the mirror as their source. Typical lazy journalism. Would be a class signing though

..who knows. The bit of encouragement was a report over the weekend suggesting Brands was on his way to Barcelona for face-to-face talks.

What could possibly go wrong..

I did hear that there would be at least one incoming this week.

Not sure I’m keen on another Russian player of the year.
