Stubhub

My season ticket has been bought and paid for since before the season started, so, for me, if I cant get to a game, regardless of who it is against, I will give it to a mate for free, or failing that, it will go on to Stubhub for a nominal price. If I could afford to a buy all tickets for every game and give them away, I would. All I want to see is a full ground, at every game, thousands of blues in the same place, maybe even helping somebody who hasn't been before have the day of their life. I hate the people making vast money off it. £250 for a ticket to the Derby when they've only paid £35 is bang out of order IMO, and the club should put some kind of restriction on stubhub meaning that it can only be paid for face value, so you can only get back what you paid. It's legalising ticket touting.

Newcastle is the first game that Stubhub is available for, it wasn't set up in time for United.

To be honest I can see pro's and con's of it both from a seller and buyer point of view. I've got a season ticket and generally don't miss games. My dad sits next to me and does miss games as he travels a lot for work. Used to give the ticket away or on occasion its gone empty. Suppose now he could bang it on Stubhub but if that leaves empty seats elsewhere it could be a concern.

I can see why anyone would want to pay £250 a ticket, even for the Derby but gotta say without opening up the touting debate again season ticket holders pay up front for an entire season and I haven't got a problem with people paying over face value. We will be the ones sat on a freezing cold night in December or whenever watching Stoke or Wigan park the bus.

Imagine if the same situation occured with Man City and Man Utd on the last day of the season and we were playing one of them at home. Those tickets would literally go for thousands, bet people would soon change their tune.

Overall it seemed like a good deal for the club, money for nothing upfront - but to answer the original question not used it yet, nor would I unless i actually couldn't go.

Dont disagree but the club have made a big thing out of the fact that you can sell it for whatever you want. Believe other clubs have a similar deal in place with Viagogo and others but there is a limit to what you can sell it for.

Didn't even these go to General Sale last few seasons though? I have got myself a ForEverton membership and was under the impression I would have no probs getting a ticket direct from the club in the priority window?

Ive had one for about 3 years(Thinkthe names changed this year) and you will get a ticket for every game, The only reason I get one is so I get a good seat for the derby

It helps the club in other ways, for example if someone who lived down south couldn't go, but didn't really know anyone who wanted to go (i.e. all their EFC supporting mates who they'd trust with their ticket card have a ST themselves), it'd be an empty seat. But if they sell on their ticket for even a nominal fee, that empty seat becomes a paying customer, who might buy a beer and a pie, maybe a programme too.

Not sure what the deals are the club has with the caterers etc but every little helps id imagine.

Also, and I know businesses make decisions based on profits at all times by their very nature, it actually helps the fans who have season tickets. It may have encouraged more too - I reckon those who do shift work might be put off buying a season ticket through not knowing how many games they will go to, but this allows them to have a chance of making some money back for those they miss.

I agree its bad that you can charge what you want, but that'll only be an issue in a couple of games so people cant buy a ticket and make profit each game. Mainly it leads to tickets going cheaper by the looks of it!

The big clincher will be - how many ACTUALLY get sold. It wont last more than a season if people struggle to sell their ticket for smaller games and can only do it for the derby, chelsea, united etc, and as we dont sell out and its not THAT well advertised i think that'll be a problem.

I work shifts, and although my wife and I bought a season ticket there are games I will deffo miss. For some I will give our cards to friends, but the problem is giving your card to someone you trust, it's not like a ticket out of a book anymore. If there is no demand, then they won't sell on Stubhub. I think it is a good idea and I might put some on there, anyone want derby tickets for £350 each? (y)

If u sell ure derby ticket for say £750 it near enough pays for next years ticket! Not sayin I would like but if sum1 is prepared to buy it then why not?

Do they deliver or do you have to pick them up from the ground

You might´ve got the answer already, but I have to pick them up from the ticket office. Which is fine. One time I had to go to the local post office asking for my mail, since I hadn´t got tickets yet and my flight was on the very same day.

Why would someone buy it for £750 when they could buy a Forever Everton membership for £20 and get a ticket for face value

Season ticket Holders did of course get some vouchers to 'take a mate' is it 2 adult and 2 child tickets can be bought?
With 3 season Tickets I could Buy 6 adult 6 Kid, and then flog them on Stubhub, or flog mine as they would be the s.t.seats.

What are we up to ? £750 ? Adult and Kid for a grand. 3 of those pairs.
