Crazy thought here. But maybe tosun will start scoring more when he has 2 brazilian internationals either side of him/behind him and a Portuguese European championship winner playing the balls from the midfield?

Yeah, doesn't matter who you are playing with, if you head a cross straight into the goalies hands, from a few yards out, even playing with Messi wouldn't help. Also, it was easier for Niasse to hit the back of the net than hit the bar from only six yards. Failure to score goals is as big a problem as our leaky defence.

Never been one of his greatest fans but I'm usually prepared to give players a chance.

Yesterday he was the worst player on the pitch by a mile and that's saying something given the competition he had. Static, no confidence, no desire. He needs dropping to the bench and working on to get his mojo back. I'd defo play Charlie up top against Arsenal and Bernard on the left.

Personally I think we should be playing with pace up top in all our away games anyway.

I do like Cenk but he just can’t offer this.

And there in lies the problem...should we try and rectify the CF position in January..who realistically is available that we could attract?
I also think we need a big strong commanding beast of a player in Midfield..a leader..such a player maybe available somewhere in Europe..but getting that 20 goal a season striker is much more difficult

yep we probably won’t get this striker till next summer or in maybe a year or two. It will be hard to attract a top quality striker who’s gonna stick around, until we are regularly in Europe.

on the midfield issue, I watched Chelsea play in tv a few weeks ago and Jorginho is the player our midfield is crying out for! I was very impressed with him as soon as he touched the ball a mere two or three times. Utter class and did everything superbly well.

We will have to wait and see what Gomes can deliver. We need him to be class and we need him to show it straight away. It’s a big ask of him, I hope he can do it!

Personally I think we needed to bring another top quality striker in the summer, because we just haven't replaced Lukaku. I don't know whether Tosun is gonna get us that many goals this season, particularly against bigger teams. I think we'll really struggle to score in our next few away games against the top sides and with our defence being the way it is, I'm not very hopeful. We did have chances against West Ham that we would of put away if we had a top quality striker and maybe a player like Felaini who is good in the air. I also think it was a mistake to get rid of Mo, because he would of never allowed their players to make a mug out of him, like our midfielders did yesterday. He wasn't perfect, but at least he had some aggression in his game. Sadly I think we'll be in for another disappointing season if we can't bring some quality in January. Sadly other than Pickford and Walcott our signings have been pretty poor in recent years. We've spent large amounts of money of average players. Obviously haven't seen Mina yet so we can't judge him.

DCL blocking his view and Niasse having to react at the last second is getting ignored somewhat.

Not worried about us scoring goals, Tosun, Sig, Walcott, Richarlison will all get enough we do need another striker but we couldn't do it all in one summer. I am more worried about the midfield and defence.
