Good luck mate, keep on in there as it's worth it. You're a family man so I know you won't need any more motivation than that.

I quit over two years ago, no patches from smoking 20/30 a day. The first 4/5 days pain a bit then you just get over it.

I used to reward myself with a cigar once a week which really helped.

I take it you're not on 20 cigars per day then.

I stopped once for 3 months. I don't really drink, and I don't do drugs, so cutting the cigs out will leave me fairly empty regarding lifes little perks, so to speak.

thats the psychological bit, the cost could well cover every prem game in a season including aways. I thought well in the 5 weeks upto the early bird window closing I will cover quite a bit of the cost if a s.t.
If I hadn't jacked then tbh the S.T. was in doubt, so far in a month saved prob £180, not saying I'm £180 better off as the money still goes but it hasn't gone on that.

They don't. Just another revenue stream.

I wasted so much money on patches, and decided to be mentally tough and do it myself.

TBH I don't really remember giving up or having any trouble doing so. I just did it.

that's exactly what I've done, it is right what chico says as well, it doesn't take long before you notice that you aren't coughing 1/2 your lung up every morning.

Yep. I was smoking at least 20 L&B a day, and more if I was on the pc a lot. Less when I'm working.

The wife smokes, and between us it costs about £80 per week in ***s. That's more than my car repayments used to cost.

16 hours without a *** now, but eyeing up the emergency tobacco pouch the wife keeps in the drawer every now and then lol.

If you can get hold of any of the indonesian clove ones then i reckon that will put you off for like as they are akin to rollin up a bit of pot pourri.

that or get d.t. to send a bit of 'borkum rif' (?) over. pure black tar.

Smoked for 30 years, but never ever had a coughing problem.

Good luck BB. Stick all the money you save on cigs in a jar then at the end of the month, look at the doh you've saved. Mate of mine did that for a few months and really gave him the determination to quit then

Am off the cigs now for 16 years, best thing I ever did. The chewing gum helped me no end with the craving. Best of luck with it. Only drawback, a joint never tasts the same :P(n)

I've been on these for the last 4 weeks. They're okay and i've had one relapse walking home from the Hull game, but that's all.

RRP £13.99 for 60 tabs and you have about 10 to 12 a day. (y)

I've tried everything and if these don't work well that's it - I smoke till I die.

Buy yourself something nice at the end of the week. Just something to symbolise the savings you're making. A new computer game or some pornography perhaps.

The best bit will be smelling and tasting food properly again.

Good luck, should be a piece of cake. Although don't eat too much cake, as you'll get fat - what, with your lowered metabolism rate and that.....
