Stop Owling Around - Sheffield Wednesday's Dilemma

Absolute nightmare for the club and fans that. I cannot see the benefit for the HRMC is winding a club up that could generate far in excess of a million for the local and national economy if a suitable survival route can be found for it.
Brinkmanship, the current owner has done this on purpose, he's not been allowed his way (whatever that was) so has dared the tax man to move in and kill it off. hmrc can't not do their job as it'd be playing favourites against the backdrop of the other clubs he's executed. Seems this problem is coming to quick for the fa to push through the special measures they are looking at to force owners to sell. He'll flog the ground and training facilities yet. Another right and proper persons test passed with flying colours.

Textor waiting for them to go into administration and buy them for beans.
This.

Almost always in these cases, the potential buyers swoop in at the 11th hour to get the cheapest possible deal. Wouldn't be the first time I had to eat my words, but IMO there is absolutely zero chance a club like Sheff Wed goes out of business.

Has to be safeguards that kick in way before a team gets to this point. The league should be able to seize teams and sell them for a reasonable value to a vetted person if the owner stops paying bills and wages rather than just allowing player to hand their notice in. All that does is screw the club and not the owner.
