Please, for God's sake, stop calling Johnson, Boris. He's not some eccentric relative, who everybody excuses his foibles because he doesn't mean any harm. His inane grin, verbose cod classicist 'witticisms', his 'man of the people' act, his right wing policies which will become ever more pronounced in the months to come (I could go on), and people still insist on using the sobriquet of Boris as if he's a child's cuddly toy. He's a menace, so please stop it.

Very few people are calling him “Boris” these days.

It is mostly Johnson.....or “Alexander” in some cases lol

And I think he is well on the way to becoming as much a hate figure as Thatcher was.

He is every bit as divisive, that’s for sure.....at least she had the legitimacy of a huge parliamentary majority to point to.

He has to rely on ten bigots from Ulster (6 of 9) to prop him up.

Yes, that's the biggest issue facing the country - how do we address the PM.

Were you as opposed to people calling Mrs Thatcher "Maggie"?

Boris only says nice things about you though......

The purpose is to dupe those voters who are not necessarily predisposed to his kind of politics, by playing into this daftness, oh look Boris Johnson (Boris) is harmless. Probably some slick psychological term used in the art of subliminal advertising. I find him insincere and condescending. Those who continue this are either supporters or the easy minded.

It’s not the biggest issue and they never suggest it was. It is, however, important. Naming matters, nicknames change perceptions,

Don’t think he does though does he? He, via The Spectator, has joined the ranks of The Sun and Kelvin Mackenzie in slating us.

I agree we should stop calling him Boris.
....Koppite behaviour calling him Boris.

Guys, we only have one life, it is not a practice event. You need to relax a bit more. Boris brings a bit of life and fun to politics, unlike that miserable bugger Corbyn. Labour don’t like him being called Boris even though they loved Corbyn being called Jezza. However he has become his usual miserable self and is now Corbyn, Boris is still Boris.....

....I thought this was about calling him ‘Boris’, rather than a critique of his worth.

I’ll call him Boris when I start calling Everton players by their first names. Never.

Boris Johnson has just suspended Parliament for the first time since 1629. An unelected PM has asked an unelected monarch to take away the democracy that was fought for by many of our relatives. This is the 1930’s all over again.

And for someone who campaigned for Brexit on the premise of retaining parliamentary sovereignty (which was never ever in danger) he’s now taking away parliamentary sovereignty. He’s acting like a dictator. How hypocritical of him.

And how pathetic. Any other country, this would be stopped.
