Appreciate it may be a bit early for a lot of you but .... Stone Roses were everything Oasis wanted to be ... if you were of that time you know the Roses were untouchable.

The Stone Roses debut album - the Stone Roses, is still and will always remain a work of genius.

To start the album off with a track, with the quality and sheer majestic power of " I wanna be adored " is just mind boggling. The intro still sends shivers up my spine now.

You have to remember how old they were when they made this album.

My brother was in a band around the same time and his band did a demo at a recording studios out Ruthin way, where the Stone Roses were recording the Second Coming.

From what he told me, the record company had just chucked money at them, with no real financial restraints and every day was party time for them. Hence the Second Coming not really living up to the hype of the first.

I have a photo somewhere of me and my mates meeting the Roses in a place called Trearddur Bay , this would have been around ‘89 or ‘90 .... they were here working on an album ... they were nuts... nice lads though

I know Treaddur Bay well.

It’s got to be the same time, as it was the late 80’s when my brother was in the recording studio with them.
