Elon musk being the world's richest person while non of his companies have ever turned a profit says everything about free Market capitalism in the USA!

Yeah, it's bonkers. Fairly well off family has child, Child owns an okay company that gets a decent buy out. Proceeds to do very little of worth to create or add value to the companies he ends up in, becomes very, very rich and adored by deluded men who think it can happen to them too

Idk about this one. It’s not uncommon for companies, especially in tech to keep investing in growth until it reaches critical mass. Amazon went like 9 years without a profit, and that was primarily by choice. Building a company is about the long game.

I mean Tesla is taking that concept to the nth degree though isn’t it?

it was on 24 times price to SALES at one point.

I saw one metric that priced it at $1.4m per car sold lol (I realise that the growth isn’t just targeted for car sales but still lol)

On Tesla I’ve been wrong as an investor for a long time and have never understood their wild valuations so never bought. I sure wish I had though. Just saying, short term profit doesn’t indicate long term prospects, and it’s not on Musk to stop investors from betting on the company and increasing its value.

But the point being that the price of growth companies is a reflection of growth expectations. Ie the expectation that their actual earnings snd cash flow will grow in the future.
The price of Tesla implies that their market share needs to grow beyond the size of the entire auto market. They need sales of 120% of global car sales to justify their price.

Again, they’re not the ones justifying their share price. The investors do. What would you like them to do?

The fundamental question for investors is do you see them as a car company or something greater? Clearly the market sees more than just an auto company.

I’m not saying Tesla are? I’m talking about valuations and growth and the disparity between the two.

And yes, as I pointed out, the market do see them as more than a car company.

but that only makes the valuations marginally less extreme.

You are not, but this all started by someone slamming the system because Musk is rich without his companies turning a profit. I don’t see that as an issue as profit clearly isn’t the short term motivation for the company or their investors. I’ll leave it at that.

Edit: just for the sake of sharing the facts, Tesla have been profitable for multiple quarters now.

You think the crypto you've been ramping in here for weeks will perform well in a bear market?

Well...

I. Am. Shocked.
You would expect it too given it’s ‘bond’ like qualities.

The majority of HEX liquidity is on the USDC pair - this means it is less reflexive, it won't be affected as much if ETH shits the bed, in contrast most of other coins have their main liquidity pairing in BTC/ETH which means they all dump together.

Just a reminder on HEX for those who have forgotten, triple audited code, 100% uptime, no admin keys and 1000x in a little over a year. Oh and i'm averaging 40% APY
