Steven Pienaar

I'm just used to seeing him on the outside. You're right that he doesn't get to the byline often, but rather cuts in and does his damage there.

That's just a-ok by me.

I just want him back asap.

Good to hear that Hibbert is back in training.

bones heal stronger than before with the proper rest. otherwise they can cause all sorts of problems. i would not want to see him rushed back.

it will be ace when he plays though!

After today, I'm convinced we're missing him more than ever.

He needs to heal quickly !!! (y)

Panic statement, TX.

Don't think that a player will solve anything.

The problem is bigger and broader. I think it has to be more with confidence than anything else.

And remember that we have two new midfielders and a very important player who has just recovered from a lengthy injury.

Pienaar would be just another option.

We can't spend our time asking for the presence of those who aren't present for some reason.

I agree.

We need as many natural footballers on the pitch as possible, Pienaar is just that and he's our first choice left midfielder. Getting key players back will only help us.

Pienaar's defensive game is very underrated aswell. He covers the most ground in our team and his work horse running is a good asset. He certainly covers Lescott very well.

Pienaar's movement, intelligence and creativity is badly needed, hopefully he's back soon and we can kick on.

It's a shame Osman is out when Pienaar is coming back, I want the midget gems reunited. People may laugh but when he's back I'd also play Van der Meyde on the right and move Arteta centrally.

We are a team lacking ideas, invention and technique at the moment. Van is an underpredictable player and a bit of a luxury player but it's needed at the moment. The former Ajax men on the wings and Arteta in the middle, it's the way forward.(y)

i agree, perhaps we could make that case if we were missing arteta or yakubu or howard or cahill, but pienaar and hibbo, come the [Poor language removed] on we're better than this. don't get me wrong we all know pienaar is an excellent player, but is his return really going to bring any new momentum?

So our most creative player isn't important to us? He did get 15 assists after all and seemed to make Yakubu tick.

Pienaar's our first choice left midfielder, ofcourse he's going to solve alot of problems.

It's his defencive work down the left we'v missed most. Arteta does'nt give lescott much help. An has been getting had every week so far.

Amen on that. Sure Pinaar gives us some nice offense and some flair but I love how he tracks back and gets involved with the same vigor as going forward. It's his underappreciated quality. Plus, we should look into SP taking some corners from tater.

I'm not saying he's gonna solve all of our problems. Not even close.

What I'm saying that his return could give us a much needed spark.

SP's workrate will put the rest of that lot to shame.
I, for one, can't wait for him to get back in the team. I'm clutching at straws that he WILL make a difference and get things back on track.
Last season he was involved in so many goals and scoring opportunities as well as helping out in defence. I always thought that him and Nuno played well together down the left.
Come back Stevie P.
