I think Moyes was perfectly suited to getting the most out of limited resources, but if he'd have had a proper striker for more than one* of his eleven seasons I'm sure we'd have finished in the top 4 at least once or twice more.
Not gonna say we'd have won a trophy mind as he'd still likely have bottled the big crunch matches.

I agree, he's definitely have kept us from succeeding with the mindset he instilled. But I think he might have got some good players in and built a deeper squad. But ultimately failed. Ironic how so many of us itched for him to kick us on or get someone older in yet we're now arguably waaay worse off.
